America RN vs Santo Andre - Brazil Serie B - should be a huge festival atmosphere as America simply need to beat uninterested Santo Andre to promote to Serie A 2007. America are 15-1-2 at home while Santo Andre have two wins in 18 road games. Santo Andre no chance of dropping or promoting so hopelessly midtable. America also the most in-form side in the league, 5-2-0 last 7 matches while Santo Andre lost last two trips, 3-2 at awful Sao Rai and 6-1 at Brasiliense. Biggest game in America's history and I believe they'll hammer Santo Andre. America RN -1 goal 2.82/10 @1.709 ($282/200 - a max of "to win $200" at pinnacle but confidence much higher)

Sao Paulo vs Atletico PR - Brazil Serie A - really high HC here IMO as Atletico are not Fortaleza or Santa Cruz. Atletico will use all regulars despite midweek match in Pachuca and they are certainly strong enough to stay within a goal. They do not have a great history playing Sao Paulo at Morumbi stadium but who does? Atletico are 1-1-9 last 11 trips there losing by 2+ five times. Atletico using regulars because trailing 1-0 and heading to Mexico means they are doubtful to win the Sudamerica Cup and now must earn that place for Sudamerica 2007. We all know SP's strength and they have won plenty recent matches by 2+ but Atletico just too strong of a squad to warrant this line. Atletico PR +1.5 goals 4/10 @2.12 (pinn)

Gremio vs Santa Cruz - Brazil Sat - one of the biggest HC's this year in Brazil but should be covered to win at least half the bet. Santa Cruz are a mess...team is relegated, players leaving the club while others threatening to boycott season if wages aren't paid, and results in a freefall with 1-1-7 in last 5 weeks with 5 losses by 2+ goals. Gremio back on track and must win here to keep their Libertadores spot in tact. Gremio with a couple suspensions up front and without long time injured Leo Lima but Lucas, Tcheco, Ramon, Hugo, and Romulo have more than enough power to throw 3 or more goals on the board. Santa Cruz will add in some youth players to fill out the roster and a heavy defeat is expected. Gremio have taken care of business against weak teams all year...4-0 vs Ponte, 4-1 vs Forta, 2-0 away to Sao Caetano, and 4-2 when they played at Santa Cruz. Anything less than two goal win would be a shocker. Gremio -1.75 goals 6/10 @1.781 (pinn)

Parana vs Internacional - Brazil Sunday - another bet for me on Parana which probably makes 7-8 official picks on them this season. A team not picked to do much but midtable have shown all year how strong they are, particularly on offense. Since returning to their true home field they've put together a very nice 5-0-1 run but still are on the outside of a Libertadores spot, looking in. Parana's great offense will be severely tested by Inter who've held opponents scoreless for more than 700 minutes. Inter have made a great run at the title but they trail Sao Paulo by 7 points with just 3 matches remaining, which basically means Sao Paulo are champions. Inter still have the World Club Cup coming up in December, a tournament won by Sao Paulo last year. Parana boosted by the return of Eltinho and I love their attacking mentality...not to mention the phenomenal home support they are given in the Durival. Parana level ball 4.5/10 @1.901 (pinn)

identical situations in Denmark Premier League ... picks based on stats - going for away wins

Vejle vs Aalborg - Vejle 2-2-13 overall and just 1-1-5 at home now facing #4 Aalborg who have lost just once away, 5-2-1, and beat Vejle 4-0 at home earlier this year. Aalborg 3/10 @1.78 (olympic)

Silkeborg vs Odense - Silkeborg also 2-2-13 overall and 0-0-8 at home facing #3 Odense who are 5-1-1 in road games. Odense 3/10 @1.75 (olympic)

Cobreloa vs Santiago Morning - Chile - prices have moved already but still worth the bet. Cobreloa get a pre-libertadores spot with a win while Santiago Morning are already relegated. This is a very long trip north and they left home about half their regulars because of the long trip. Included are their best players because they cannot risk injury since they will be sold to big clubs. Morning's coach did not make the trip either so they will be led by their Trainer. Cobreloa, aided by the Calama altitude, have put together another unbeaten home season with 5 of their last 6 wins by 2+ goals here. They have played remarkably well despite being relegated, even beating U de Chile last week but I cannot see how they will avoid a big defeat today. Line is getting hit in last hour and will be -2 soon. Cobreloa -1.75 goals 6.5/10 @1.826 (pinn)
